Fusilli may be known in Greece as screws, but this pasta, with roots in central and northern Italy, owes its name to the wind where the wool was wound in the old days. To their characteristic spiral shape, however, they owe not only their name, but also their flexibility in combinations. And this is because they trap even the lightest sauce inside them, as a result of which they pair equally well with homemade pesto but also with rich tomato or cheese sauces.
